The truth is, you probably already have one in your pocket.
Your smartphone can quickly turn documents into high-quality PDFs in just a few seconds.

Scanning documents on an iPhone
If you’re using an iPhone, you can scan documents in a couple of different places.
The first option is the Notes app.
You can also use the Files app to create and store your scans.
In both cases, your phone automatically identifies the edges of the document, straightens the image, and creates a PDF.
Scanning documents on an Android device
Android users can often scan documents directly through Google Drive.
Depending on the manufacturer, some phones may also include this feature directly within the camera app.
What can you scan?
Your phone can help you organize:
- Receipts
- Contracts
- Business cards
- Handwritten notes
- Forms
One less device to manage
Technology should simplify our lives.
That’s why I love tools like this. They’re already there, quietly waiting to make life easier.
Sometimes the best technology is the technology you’ve had all along.
