If you run a Facebook Group, chances are you’ve spent time manually approving membership requests.
While that may not seem like a big task, those small administrative activities can add up over time.
One of my favorite Facebook Group features is called Admin Assist, and it can help automate some of those repetitive tasks for you.

What Is Admin Assist?
Admin Assist is a Facebook Group feature that allows you to create rules that automatically perform certain administrative actions.
For example, you can automatically approve people who meet criteria you define.
One rule I like to use is automatically approving people who already have at least one friend in the group.
Instead of manually reviewing every request, Facebook handles it for me.
Why This Matters
Technology should help us spend less time on repetitive tasks and more time building relationships.
The less time you spend approving requests, the more time you can spend:
- Engaging with members
- Answering questions
- Creating content
- Growing your community
Small efficiencies create more time for the things that matter most.
My Recommendation
If you manage a Facebook Group, take a few minutes to explore Admin Assist.
You don’t have to automate everything.
Start with one simple rule and see how much time it saves.
Tech Confidence Takeaway
Technology doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes one small setting can remove a task you’ll never have to do manually again.
