3 Technology Tools That Save Me Time Every Week

There’s no shortage of technology tools promising to make life easier.

Some are helpful. Some are overwhelming. And some end up creating more work than they save.

Today, I want to share three tools that I actually use every week to save time and stay organized. These aren’t complicated tutorials or advanced tech tricks. They’re simply examples of how I use technology to create more space for the things that matter most.

Click the video below to see these tools in action.

1. Metricool: Keeping Content Organized

Creating content is one thing. Remembering to post it consistently is another.

Metricool helps me plan and schedule content across multiple platforms from a single calendar. Instead of wondering what I should post each day, I can see my entire content plan at a glance.

One of my favorite features is the ability to batch content. I can create multiple posts at once and schedule them in advance, which means less time worrying about social media and more time focusing on serving my community.

I also appreciate that different platforms require different approaches. A post that works on Facebook may need a different caption or call to action on TikTok. Metricool makes it easy to customize content for each platform while still managing everything from one place.

Why I Love It

  • View all content in one calendar
  • Schedule ahead of time
  • Customize posts for different platforms
  • Manage multiple accounts in one place
  • Reduce the stress of daily posting

2. Zapier: Letting Technology Handle Repetitive Tasks

If you’ve ever found yourself doing the same task over and over again, there’s a good chance it can be automated.

That’s where Zapier comes in.

Zapier connects different apps and allows them to communicate automatically. Instead of manually moving information from one place to another, Zapier can do it for you.

For example, when a customer places an order in my business, Zapier automatically updates my inventory spreadsheet and sends a thank-you email to the customer.

Once it’s set up, it simply runs in the background.

No reminders.

No extra clicks.

No forgotten follow-ups.

Why I Love It

  • Eliminates repetitive tasks
  • Reduces manual data entry
  • Creates consistent processes
  • Helps prevent things from falling through the cracks
  • Saves time every week

The best systems are often the ones you stop thinking about because they quietly work behind the scenes.

3. NotebookLM: Turning Information Into Action

NotebookLM may be one of the most underrated tools available right now.

Think of it as a workspace where you can collect information and then interact with it in useful ways.

You can upload documents, articles, websites, notes, and other source material into a notebook. NotebookLM then uses only those sources to help you organize, summarize, and explore the information.

One feature I find particularly impressive is its ability to create visual resources from existing content.

For example, you can provide a blog post and ask NotebookLM to generate an infographic based on that information. It can also create study guides, summaries, briefing documents, timelines, and more.

Instead of starting from a blank page, you’re working with information you already have.

Why I Love It

  • Organizes information in one place
  • Creates summaries and study materials
  • Generates infographics from source content
  • Helps repurpose existing information
  • Makes learning and content creation faster

The Bigger Lesson

None of these tools replace relationships.

None of them replace your experience.

And none of them replace your unique voice.

What they do is help remove some of the repetitive, administrative, and organizational work that can consume our time and energy.

That’s why I believe technology should create more time for relationships, not less.

When we use the right tools for the right jobs, we free ourselves to focus on creativity, connection, and the work only we can do.

Tech Confidence Takeaway

You don’t need to learn every new technology that comes along.

Start by finding one tool that solves one problem.

Master that.

Then build from there.

Small improvements compound over time, and sometimes the right technology can give you back hours each week.
